JESS NELSON, OWNER OF WAY SOCIAL
Jess received a major in Communication Studies with a specialty focus in Marketing and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Although a coastal Carolina girl most of her life, she now resides in Frisco, Texas - just outside of Dallas!
She discovered the power of social media 7 years ago, when she began diving into ways to increase her brand awareness and community relationships as a local On-Air News Reporter. After leaving that position, Jess launched 3 magazines and built a six figure business - something she says wouldn't be possible without the strong digital strategy she had in place.
Jess started WAY Social out of her passion and desire to help companies of all sizes find the same success. She finds happiness in helping business owners elevate their brands by making the most of their social presence - allowing them more time to focus on the sides of their business they are passionate about.
When she's not producing rockin' social media content, you can find her cuddling Kai, her 10-year-old Pitbull, or her fiance Jordan ;). She is a coffee addict, a Christmas fanatic, a lover of surprises and is always planning her next adventure (that is likely documented on
